Welsh Currant Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. currants
    2 eggs
    6 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Cut in shortening with a pastry cutter until crumbly.
    Add currants.
    Beat eggs and add milk until blended; add to dry mixture.
    Cover and chill for 1 to 2 hours (dough will be stiff).
