Skillet Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick margarine
    2 onions (Bermuda, Vidalia, etc.), peeled and cut into 3 thick slices
    1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
Preparation
    Melt margarine in iron frypan. Place onion slices in a single layer in pan. Sprinkle with about 2 tablespoons brown sugar. Cover. Cook over low heat 10 minutes. Turn onions. Sprinkle with remaining sugar. Cook 5 minutes. Uncover and cook, basting with margarine-sugar mixture, 5 minutes longer or until tender.
