Ingredients

4 slices French bread, cut 1-inch thick
3 Tbsp. strawberry fruit spread
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 Tbsp. oil
Preparation

Make a pocket in each bread.
Slice, cutting almost in half lengthwise.
Fill each with about 2 teaspoons strawberry spread. Place slices flat in a 9-inch pie pan.
In small bowl, beat together eggs and milk; pour evenly over bread.
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
To serve, heat oil in skillet and fry slices 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
