Strawberry Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. strawberries (fresh)
    1 c. sugar
    1 angel food cake or pound cake
    1 small container Cool Whip
    1 pkg. strawberry glaze
Preparation
    Clean and slice strawberries.
    Put in bowl and add sugar; set aside until sugar dissolves.
    Cut cake in half in middle making 2 layers.
    Take half the juice from strawberry mixture and pour into holes made by fork to penetrate through cake layer.
    Place half the glaze on cake and half the strawberries.
    Place cake layer on top and repeat with remaining juice, glaze and strawberries.
    Top with Cool Whip.
    Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
