Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    2/3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. dark corn syrup
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Cream
    butter and sugar together until fluffy; add next 4 ingredients.
    Line pie pan (8-inch) with pastry and sprinkle with pecan
    halves; pour the filling over pecans.
    Bake in hot oven, 425\u00b0,
    for\t10
    minutes; reduce temperature to 325\u00b0 and bake 35 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Makes
    1
    (8-inch) pie.
    Place cover over pie when it is removed from oven.
