Sweet-Sour Red Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. bacon drippings
6 c. red cabbage, shredded
3 c. unpared, cubed tart apple
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. cider vinegar
1 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
3/4 tsp. caraway seed
Preparation

Heat bacon drippings in large skillet (or wok).
Add cabbage and apple.
Combine rest of ingredients and pour over cabbage. Cover skillet.
Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes or until cabbage and apples are tender. Makes 8 servings.
