Mrs. Millard Luke'S Chess Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
    2/3 c. butter, softened
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. dried currants
    3/4 c. coarsely chopped pecans
    9-inch unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
    Stir in vanilla, currants and nuts.
    Turn into unbaked pie shell.
    Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until pie is set.
