Kolacky - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. milk, scalded
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. lukewarm water
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/2 tsp mace
1 cake compressed yeast or 1 pkg dry yeast
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp salt
6 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream shortening.
Add sugar and salt.
Blend until light. Dissolve yeast in water and add to lukewarm milk.
Add half the flour and beat until smooth.
Add sugar and shortening, then add eggs, beating after each addition.
Add flavoring and enough flour to make a soft dough.
Knead until smooth.
Let raise until double in bulk or about 10 minutes.
Punch down in the middle and add you favorite filling.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 375\u00b0.
