Georgia'S Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. syrup
    2/3 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, syrup, water and salt together.
    Cook over medium heat to hard ball stage using candy thermometer.
    Pour hot syrup slowly over egg whites which have been stiffly beaten.
    Beat with an electric mixer until candy starts to hold its shape.
    Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet.
    Cake coloring can be used to give it color.
    Pecans can be used for decoration.
