Waldorf Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raw apples (diced)
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    salt
    lettuce leaves
Preparation
    Dice apples and celery into small pieces, chop walnuts coarsely.
    Combine with mayonnaise and salt.
    Mix well and place in refrigerator to chill.
    Serve mounded on lettuce leaves, top with maraschino cherry, if desired.
    Serves 6.
