Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 can kidney beans (2 1/2 c.)
1 large onion, sliced
1 green pepper, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
3 Tbsp. fat
1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes (3 1/2 c.)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
dash of paprika
dash of cayenne pepper
3 whole cloves
1 bay leaf
1 to 2 Tbsp. chili powder
Preparation
-
Brown onion, green pepper and meat in hot fat.
Add tomatoes and seasonings.
Simmer 2 hours adding water if necessary.
Add beans; heat thoroughly.
Makes 6 servings.
