Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. or 6 to 7 qt. apples
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. cornstarch
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    10 c. water
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    In a saucepan, mix the sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch and nutmeg. Add the salt and water.
    Cook and stir until bubbly. Add the lemon juice.
    Pour over sliced apples in jars.
    Leave 1-inch headspace.
    Cold pack in boiling water bath 20 minutes.
