Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 or 4 squash, sliced thin
    1 onion, sliced
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. bread crumbs
    1/4 c. milk
    1 c. grated cheese
    1/2 stick margarine
Preparation
    Cook squash and onion in salt water until tender; drain.
    Beat until light.
    Add remaining ingredients, reserving 1/3 of cheese and bread crumbs for the top layer.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until cheese has melted and is light brown.
