Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 can Carnation evaporated milk
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. pecan halves
    1 large pkg. caramels
Preparation
    Mix cake according to directions on the box.
    Add evaporated milk to cake mix.
    Bake half of batter for 15 minutes.
    While waiting, unwrap caramels and place in a heavy saucepan.
    Add 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
    On medium heat, melt caramels.
    Pour caramel sauce on cake that was baked, spread chocolate chips evenly over this and place pecan halves on this.
    Pour on remaining batter and bake an additional 25 to 30 minutes.
