Chicken And Scalloped Vegetable Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken, cut in serving pieces
    1 c. thinly sliced onions
    1 c. thinly sliced carrots
    3 1/2 c. thinly sliced potatoes
    paprika
    1/4 c. butter
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Steam vegetables for 5 minutes. Drain.
    Melt butter, blend in flour, salt and pepper.
    Gradually add milk and simmer, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Remove from heat. In 1-quart casserole, alternate vegetables and sauce. Place chicken pieces around edges of casserole and dot with butter.
    Bake, uncovered, at 375\u00b0 for 55 minutes. Yields 4 servings.
