Ingredients

6 apples
1 qt. milk
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
nutmeg
Preparation

Pare and core apples and place in baking dish.
Fill centers with 1/2 cup sugar packed firm.
Make a custard of milk, beaten eggs and 1 cup of sugar.
Pour over apples and grate plenty of nutmeg over top.
Bake in slow oven for 1 hour.
Serves 6.
