My Favorite Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain cornmeal
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 level tsp. baking soda
    1/3 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar (heaping)
    2 eggs
    buttermilk
    1/4 c. cooking oil or bacon grease
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Add buttermilk until a little more than pasty.
    Put in eggs and oil; mix well.
    Pour into a medium size iron skillet that has been oiled and placed in oven to heat. Bake at 425\u00b0.
    Check at 20 minutes.
