Colonial Cranberry Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 c. fresh cranberries
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. brandy (optional)
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped apples
Preparation

Combine 1 cup water, sugar and cranberries in saucepan.
Bring just to a boil.
Remove from heat, cover and let cool for 5 minutes.
Combine 1 cup boiling water and jello.
Stir until dissolved.
Add 1 cup cold water, cranberry mixture and lemon juice.
Chill until thickened.
Fold in remaining ingredietns and chill until firm.
