Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    6 pkg. Kool-Aid (any flavor)
    1 extra large can pineapple juice
    1 large can hot water
    2 large cans cold water
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1 can mandarin orange slices, cut in two
    2 bottles ginger ale
    1/2 gal. sherbet or ice cream
Preparation
    Mix well the first 7 ingredients.
    Put in four containers and freeze.
    Set out 2 hours before using.
    Chip with a fork.
    Add 2 bottles of ginger ale.
    Add sherbet or ice cream.
