Banana Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. unflavored gelatin
    3/4 c. light cream
    2 ripe medium bananas
    2 well beaten egg yolks
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. whipped cream
    2 egg whites
Preparation
    Combine 1/2 cup sugar, gelatin and 1/2 teaspoon salt in saucepan.
    Stir in light cream over low heat until gelatin and sugar are dissolved.
    Chill until partially set.
    Blend in bananas, yolks, lemon juice and vanilla.
    Whip cream.
    Fold into gelatin.
    Beat egg whites to soft peaks, gradually add remaining sugar, beating to stiff peaks.
    Fold into banana mixture.
    Pour into large freezer tray.
    Freeze firm.
    Makes 2 quarts.
