Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. cornmeal
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
    1 egg
    4 Tbsp. oil
Preparation
    Sift together the first 5 ingredients; add the milk, egg and oil.
    Beat together for 2 minutes.
    Place 2 teaspoons of oil in an 8-inch cake pan. Pour in batter.
    The oil will rise around it, greasing pan evenly.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Use a larger pan if you wish a crisper and thinner cornbread.
    Shorten baking time.
