Hot Pepper Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. hot peppers, sliced in rings
    1/2 c. oil
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 large bottle ketchup or 2 small
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour hot water over rings and let set for 4 or 5 minutes. Bring to a boil the oil, sugar, vinegar, ketchup and salt.
    Drain rings and add to boiled mixture.
    Bring to a boil again and place in jars and seal at once.
