Ingredients

1/2 lb. smoked salmon
1/2 lb. cream cheese
1/3 c. chopped scallions
1/4 c. finely chopped dill
2 Tbsp. aquavit (optional)
Tabasco sauce to taste
freshly ground pepper to taste
juice of half a lemon
buttered toast or crackers
chopped raw onion
drained capers
Preparation

Combine all ingredients except toast, chopped onion and capers in the container of a food processor or blender.
Blend to a fine puree.
Pour the mixture into a serving dish.
Smooth the top and chill.
Serve on toast or crackers with chopped onion and drained capers on the side.
Yield:
4 cups.
