Claudine'S Butter Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch, salt and
    milk\tin small saucepan.
    Cook until thick, (stirring).\tCool. Cream the sugar, butter, Crisco and vanilla.
    Beat.
    Add cooked and
    cooled
    mix and beat until it looks like whipped cream, thickened.
    Makes
    enough to ice a large layer cake.
