Autumn Gold Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon jello
    1/2 c. sour cream
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. grated onion
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. shredded mild Cheddar cheese
    2 or 3 c. diced pared apples
    1/2 c. finely chopped celery and/or green pepper
    1 c. whipping cream, whipped
Preparation
    Make jello according to package directions.
    Cool slightly and add sour cream, lemon juice, onion and salt.
    Beat until smooth; chill until partly set.
    Fold in cheese, apples and celery.
    Fold in whipped cream.
    Spoon into a 6 to 6 1/2-cup mold.
    Chill until firm.
    Unmold on lettuce; trim with lemon-brushed apple slices, if desired.
    Serves 8 to 10.
