Shoney'S Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 deep, frozen pie shell
1 qt. fresh strawberries
4 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O
1 c. sugar
6 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
dash of salt
red food coloring (if desired)

Preparation

Mix and bake all ingredients except berries until thick and clear.
Place strawberries into baked and cooled pie shell.
After boiled mixture has cooled, pour over berries.
Place in refrigerator.
Add Cool Whip when ready to serve.
Makes 1 pie.
