Old Fashioned Apple Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 medium baking apples
    1 c. sugar
    dash of cinnamon
    1/4 c. softened butter
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    dash of salt
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Peel and slice apples into buttered electric skillet. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup water and cinnamon.
    Combine remaining 1/2 cup sugar with softened butter.
    Add and combine remaining ingredients in given order to make cake batter of pouring consistency.
    Pour over apples.
    Do not stir.
    Bake, covered, at 225\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
