Ingredients

1 3/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 small egg
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. cardamon (ground)
2 c. chopped almonds
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg.
Add flour, baking powder and cardamon.
Work in almonds.
Shape into long rolls about 2-inches in diameter.
Chill.
Using serrated knife, cut in slices 1/4-inch.
Set on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
Will keep a month in a sealed can.
