Party Jello Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) box black cherry Jell-O
    1 (16 oz.) sour cream (can use low or no fat sour cream)
    1 can dark sweet pitted cherries
    fresh cherries (optional)
Preparation
    Drain the can of cherries and add water to make 2 cups.
    Boil and add Jell-O.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Let cool.
    Add sour cream and whip until smooth.
    Carefully stir in cherries.
    Pour into mold and refrigerate overnight.
    Turn out onto a plate and decorate with fresh cherries if desired.
    Can have as a salad or a low-fat dessert.
