Magic Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. kosher dill pickles, sliced 1/2-inch thick
    1/2 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Drain pickles.
    While draining, put spices and vinegar in 1/2 gallon jar.
    Add drained pickles.
    Pour sugar on top of pickles (do not stir).
    Close jar.
    Let stand for 8 days.
