Beef 'N Tater Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. ketchup
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. shredded American cheese
    1 c. bread crumbs
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. hot mashed potatoes
Preparation
    Combine hamburg, bread crumbs, egg, onion, ketchup, salt and pepper.
    Pat meat into an 8-inch square baking dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Remove from oven and drain excess fat.
    Combine mashed potatoes and shredded cheese and spread over meat; top with 1/4 cup shredded cheese and bake for 20 minutes more.
    Serves 6.
