Fruit Kuchen - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. margarine or butter
    1 egg
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. milk
    1 can ready mix pie fruit
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar with electric mixer.\tAdd egg and vanilla
    (lower
    speed
    on\tmixer when adding dry ingredients). Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with the milk.\tPat dough while distributing it\tin
    well-greased
    and
    lightly\tfloured
    10 x 10-inch
    pan. Cover
    with
    ready\tmix
    pie
    fruit
    (peaches, cherries or pineapple).
    Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
