Sauerkraut Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 pt. water
    2 c. potatoes, diced
    1 c. sauerkraut
    1/2 large or 1 small onion, diced
    2 Tbsp. oleo or bacon drippings
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg, beaten (optional)
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Boil potatoes, sauerkraut and onion for 20 minutes.
    If you are using the egg add it here.
    Shake flour into water to thicken soup.
    Season
    with
    oleo
    or
    drippings.
    Bring to a boil, stirring.
    Add sour cream.
    Turn off heat.
