Ingredients

1 1/2 sticks butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. green candied pineapple
1/4 lb. red candied cherries
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add beaten egg yolk.
Stir in sifted flour and salt.
Beat egg white and fold into mixture.
Add 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans only).
Add finely chopped fruit.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Drop 1/2 teaspoon of batter 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake about 10 minutes; do not overbake if you like chewy cookies.
