Potato Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    leftover mashed potatoes
    1 egg
    1 small onion
    oil or shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. flour
Preparation
    In a large bowl, stir together mashed potatoes, egg, onion and flour.
    After mixing is completed, heat oil in a large heavy skillet. When oil is hot, drop potato mixture into hot oil. Brown well, using medium heat.
    Turn and brown well.
