Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. white Karo syrup
    3/4 c. water
    dash of salt
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Mix remaining ingredients.
    Cook until syrup strings from spoon.
    Pour half of mixture over egg whites.
    Cook remaining syrup 2 minutes and pour over whites. Beat until mixture holds a peak.
    Add nuts and vanilla and drop by teaspoon onto wax paper.
