Ingredients

1 c. butter
6 eggs
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. blackberry jam
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. sweet milk
Preparation

Cream butter and beat in sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour with nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and soda.
Mix alternately with buttermilk.
Add blackberry jam, raisins and chopped pecans.
Grease and flour three 8-inch cake pans.
