Peggy'S Famous Otter Creek Cakes(Pinto Bean Cake) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 c. cooked and mashed pinto beans
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. diced raw apples
1 c. raisins
1 c. walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add egg.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add creamed mixture.
Stir in beans, apples, raisins, nuts and vanilla.
Pour into greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
