Turtle Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. German cake mix
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels (approximately 45)
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Prepare mix according to directions.
    Pour 1/2 of mixture into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Set remaining butter aside.
    Bake batter in the pan for 18 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
