Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. applesauce
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg and beat until fluffy.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Mix flour and other dry ingredients; add flour mixture with applesauce.
    Fold in nuts.
    Bake in 9 x 9-inch pan about 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
