Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) box brown sugar
    1 1/2 sticks margarine
    3 eggs
    1 pkg. chocolate bits
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 2/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine sugar and butter; melt over low heat.
    Cool.
    Add an egg at a time; beat well.
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add.
    Add chocolate bits, nuts and vanilla; mix well.
    Pour into 9 x 12-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cut into squares.
    Makes 2 to 3 dozen.
