Ingredients

1 box light brown sugar
1 1/2 sticks margarine
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation

Bring sugar and margarine to a boil, then let cool.
Add eggs to sugar mixture, then flour, vanilla and nuts.
Gradually stir in each ingredient.
Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan and pour in mixture. Bake at 300\u00b0 until done, about 30 to 45 minutes.
When cool, cut into bars.
