Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) bag hash brown potatoes
    2 cans mushroom soup (undiluted)
    1 can milk
    1/2 stick butter
    8 oz. sour cream
    2 medium onions, cut up
    salt and pepper to taste
    mild Cheddar cheese (for topping)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except cheese, in dish.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for one hour (plus or minus).
    Add cheese.
    Bake in oven for 10 minutes to melt cheese.
