Fettuccine With Veggies And Ham(Serves 7) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. fettuccine, uncooked
    1/4 c. water
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli, cauliflower and carrots
    1 c. skim milk
    1/2 c. Romano cheese, grated
    8 (3/4 oz.) slices smoked ham, cut in 1/2-inch pieces (can use cooked chicken)
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook fettuccine according to package, omitting salt and fat. Meanwhile, bring water to boil, add vegetables, and cook uncovered 3 minutes or until tender crisp.
    Drain; set aside.
    Place milk in small saucepan, cook over low heat until warm.
    Add warm milk and cheese to cooked and drained fettuccine.
    Stir until thoroughly heated.
    Stir in vegetables, ham and pepper.
    Serve warm.
