Tangy Herbed Chicken - cooking recipe

1 (3 1/2 lb.) frozen broiler-fryer
1/4 c. butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. dried whole thyme
1 1/2 tsp. dried whole rosemary, crushed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 small onion, quartered
1 stalk celery, quartered
Preparation

To thaw, unwrap chicken and place, breast side down, on a microwave roasting rack in a 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Microwave at Medium-low (30% power) for 10 minutes.
Turn chicken, breast side up; shield wing tips, tail and ends of legs with foil. Microwave chicken at Medium-low for 10 minutes, or until chicken is soft but still very cold.
Run cold water inside chicken until giblets can be removed; reserve giblets for other uses.
Rinse chicken cavity with cold water until chicken is no longer icy. Pat dry.
