Potato Pancakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large potatoes
    1 small onion
    1/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. flour or slightly more
    1 beaten egg
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Grate potatoes and onion into milk.
    Blend in flour, egg and salt.
    In skillet, heat 1-inch shortening or oil.
    Drop tablespoons of batter into hot fat and brown on both sides. Drain on paper towel.
    Serve with applesauce or sour cream.
