Pineapple Surprise Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) frozen pound cake, thawed
1/2 c. pineapple juice
1 tsp. almond extract
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 (4 oz.) pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
8 oz. whipped topping
toasted slivered almonds
Preparation

Cut cake horizontally into 3 layers.
Drizzle with mixture of pineapple juice and almond flavoring.
Combine crushed pineapple and pudding mix in bowl.
Mix well.
Fold in whipped topping. Spread between layers and over top and sides of cake.
Sprinkle with almonds.
Makes 16 servings.
