Lettuce Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 c. chopped celery
    4 hard-boiled eggs
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen English peas (raw)
    1 c. diced bell pepper
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
    8 slices fried bacon, crumbled
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Tear up lettuce into small pieces in a 9 x 13-inch dish. Add the next 6 ingredients in layers in the order they are listed. Add sugar to mayonnaise; stir and spread on top of salad. Sprinkle cheese on top. Garnish with additional bacon. Refrigerate 8 to 10 hours before serving. Serves 15 or more.
