Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. cake flour
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Cream together the sugar, shortening, salt, baking powder, vanilla and egg until light and fluffy.
Fold in cake flour.
Add chocolate chips, stirring just to mix evenly.
On plastic wrap, shape into two 2-inch in diameter rolls.
Chill thoroughly.
To bake, cut into 1/2-inch slices.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
