Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. red food coloring (about 3 small bottles)
3 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream the Crisco and sugar.
Add eggs and beat 1 minute.
Put cocoa in 1 teaspoon vanilla and make a paste. Add salt.
Put 2 teaspoons vanilla in the buttermilk and add slowly to mixture along with the flour.
Put vinegar in soda and mix well.
Pour into two round prepared pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
